My escape from the clutches of the corporate world has given me a chance (and time!) to explore my creative side. Here are two projects that I’ve been working on for the past few days.
I have some saris from my wedding almost four years ago that needed to have the edging completed, so after all these years, I’m sewing. Must say there’s a something very zen-y and meditative about working with your hands. Another project I’m getting back to is jewelry-making. I’m currently working on a tourmaline and gold-filled wire necklace. I love working with the small odd-shaped tourmaline stones. I think it will give a bit of color to a say, an all-black outfit.
Hi Pamela,
how wonderfull to know that you now have the time and desire to complete unfinished tasks and at the same time are deriving pleasure whilst you delve into your creative pursuits. Im sure the necklace will look fabulous once its finished. Do post piictures so we can see the masterpice. Its always so fulfilling to finally finish something you keep putting off…. I have a black stole that has lost some sequins and have to work on that but have merely kept putting it off simply out of sheer laziness…..but not anymore, I have decided that I am now going to get very goal oriented and start working off my list. Well all the best to you……
Thank you Avril! I am so happy to hear that you are enjoying the posts. Thank you so much for reading.
